Appearance:
Deep, slightly hazy, mahogany.
Nose:
Intense sloe aroma, with sweetness and spices pushing through.
Palette:
This sloe gin was admiringly balanced and complex. The panel found heavy sloe notes, a hint of citrus and a lovely bittersweet quality. One member of the panel noted a very subtle hint of cigars on the long, warming finish; an excellent final impression.
Overall:
One member of the panel described this sloe gin as ‘a sophisticated drink that’s perfectly suited to the winter months’. It was agreed across the board that this was a fine sloe gin, resulting in the Silver Award for Bramley and Gage.
